Welcome 3rd grade families! Below you will find the assignments listed for the week. It is going to be important that we stay in communication with each other. I am depending on you to let me know how your child does with the assigned tasks. I'm mainly concerned about the pacing, how much time is your child having to spend on the assignments, and how much help you are having to provide. Language arts and math are considered "must do's" which means they are the main focus and must be completed each week. Science and social studies activities are included and are considered "may do's" meaning they aren't required to be completed each week. I want to include plenty of content material, but don't want to overwhelm anyone. Please take a picture or scan your child's completed language arts (including paragraph of the week, and DLR) and math assignments, and email them to me by Sunday evening each week. This will allow me to gauge how each child is doing with the assigned tasks. Office Hours: I am offering my phone number (804-514-1634) for you to reach out for chat sessions via FaceTime, to text a question about an assignment or a phone call anytime during the hours of 9a-5p. I will also be checking my email regularly, and will be available to set up appointments via Zoom. If you find your child is struggling with the concepts being covered, please don't hesitate to reach out and I'll schedule a Zoom meeting with them. **Don't forget to join our weekly Zoom meeting every Monday morning at 10:00 am! The purpose of these meetings will be for us to connect as a whole class, discuss any interesting or fun happenings, and I will continue reading our class read-aloud, Holes. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ May 26-29 WOOHOO!
